There are many ways to connect a wifi extender to a router without wps. The first thing you should do is find the best spot for your wifi extender. You should place it somewhere that is close enough to your router, but not too close so that the signal will be too strong. You can also use an Ethernet cable to connect the two devices instead of using Wi-Fi.
If you are using an Ethernet cable, plug one end into the ethernet port on your wifi extender and plug the other end into one of the ethernet ports on your router. If you have a newer type of router with more than one ethernet port, then you can use any of them. If not, then just use one of them and leave all others empty for future connections.
Connect Extender To Router Without WPS Using Ethernet Cable
When configuring your range extender, the web administration page is the most time-efficient method of doing so. When you connect your range extender to an Ethernet network, you will be able to visit the online management page. (An Ethernet wire is included with each range extender kit.)
Please make sure that your range extender is switched on before beginning this process. It should also be powered on throughout. Once the range extender has been powered up, connect one end of the cable to the Ethernet port on your laptop or desktop PC, and the other end to the Ethernet port on the range extender’s power supply unit.

In case your laptop or desktop PC isn’t capable of connecting to a wireless network, you may still connect your range extender to your PC and use it. Locate the Ethernet cable that connects your router to your PC and remove the end of the wire that is linked to your computer. And after that, simply connect it to the range extender. This will enable an Ethernet connection to be established between the range extender and the PC.

When you connect to the extender, it might ask for password which can be found on the back of the extender or on its box.
